Maker Garage connects creators, builders, sellers, and customers interested in DIY projects, robotics, electronics, CNC projects, digital plans, custom builds, prototypes, and other creative work.

The platform is designed to help makers present their work, communicate with customers, receive custom project requests, and sell eligible physical products, digital products, and services.

How the Marketplace Works

Shipping and Delivery Policy

Physical Products

Sellers are responsible for packaging and shipping physical products to the delivery address supplied by the buyer. Available shipping costs and estimated delivery times should be presented before purchase or agreed upon before the order is confirmed.

Sellers should provide valid tracking information when tracking is available. Delivery times may vary depending on the seller, shipping carrier, destination, product type, and order complexity.

Digital Products

Digital files are delivered electronically through the platform, by download link, or through another delivery method clearly stated in the listing.

Custom Projects and Services

Delivery dates, project requirements, revisions, materials, and completion milestones should be agreed upon between the buyer and seller before work begins.

Refund, Return, Cancellation, and Dispute Policy

Physical Products

Buyers may request support when an order is not delivered, arrives damaged, or is significantly different from its listing description. The buyer should contact Maker Garage within 7 days after the recorded delivery date and may be asked to provide photographs, messages, tracking information, or other supporting evidence.

Digital Products

Digital products are generally non-refundable after they have been downloaded or accessed. A refund may be considered when the file cannot be accessed, is defective, or is significantly different from its listing description.

Custom Projects and Services

A buyer may request cancellation before the seller begins work. After work has started, refund eligibility may depend on completed work, purchased materials, agreed milestones, communications, and the circumstances of the order.

Returns

When a physical-product return is approved, the buyer must follow the return instructions provided by Maker Garage or the seller. Unless otherwise required by law, return shipping responsibility will depend on the reason for the return.

Disputes

Buyers should contact Maker Garage support before filing a payment dispute with their bank. Maker Garage may review listing details, order records, messages, delivery evidence, photographs, and other relevant information.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time required for the refund to appear depends on Stripe, the card network, and the buyer’s financial institution.

Privacy Policy

Maker Garage may collect information required to operate and protect the marketplace, including names, email addresses, account details, listing information, transaction details, communications, uploaded content, device information, and technical usage data.

This information may be used to provide customer support, process transactions, prevent fraud, enforce platform policies, improve the service, communicate with users, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Payment card information is processed by Stripe and is not stored directly by Maker Garage. Stripe may collect and process payment, identity, tax, banking, and verification information according to its own policies.

Maker Garage does not sell payment card information. Information may be shared with service providers, payment processors, fraud-prevention providers, government authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to operate the service or comply with law.

Terms of Service

By using Maker Garage, users agree to provide accurate information, comply with applicable laws, communicate honestly, and use the platform only for lawful transactions.

Seller Obligations

• Accurately describe products, services, materials, and condition.
• Clearly disclose prices, delivery times, and relevant limitations.
• Deliver orders according to the listing and buyer agreement.
• Maintain required licenses, permissions, and legal compliance.
• Respond to reasonable order and support requests.

Buyer Obligations

• Provide accurate billing, contact, and delivery information.
• Review listing details before completing a purchase.
• Communicate legitimate concerns in a timely manner.
• Not misuse refunds, chargebacks, or dispute procedures.

Prohibited Activity

Users may not use Maker Garage for fraudulent, deceptive, illegal, infringing, unsafe, or prohibited transactions. Listings may not include illegal products, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, regulated weapons, hazardous materials, unauthorized copyrighted content, or other items prohibited by law or payment-provider rules.

Maker Garage may review, restrict, suspend, or remove listings and accounts that violate platform policies, payment-provider rules, or applicable law.

Marketplace Role

Maker Garage provides technology that helps buyers and sellers discover listings, communicate, and process eligible transactions. Sellers remain responsible for the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, and fulfillment of their listings.
